Stability Studies

Stability programs, from protocol to shelf life

Design protocols once, and let HDLIMS schedule every pull, track every chamber and trend every result across the life of the study.

Overview

Multi-year studies without the spreadsheet risk

Stability programs run for years, span multiple storage conditions and generate hundreds of time points. Managing them in spreadsheets invites missed pulls, inconsistent data and painful report compilation for regulatory submissions and annual reviews.

HDLIMS Stability manages the full study lifecycle: protocol design, sample inventory, chamber assignment, pull scheduling, testing through the LIMS and LES, trending and reporting. Because results flow from the same specifications used for release, stability data is consistent with the rest of your quality record.

What changes for your lab

Reliable study execution

Automated scheduling and inventory tracking remove the manual coordination behind missed or late pulls.

Earlier risk detection

Continuous trending highlights out-of-trend results long before the next annual review.

Faster reporting

Submission tables and review summaries are generated from approved data, not compiled by hand.

Capabilities

Core Stability Studies capabilities

Protocol design

Define conditions, time points, orientations and test plans from templates aligned with ICH Q1A(R2).

Pull scheduling

Automatic pull calendars with pull windows, workload forecasting and notifications.

Chamber management

Track chamber capacity, sample locations and excursions, with impact assessment on affected studies.

Study inventory

Know exactly how many units remain per condition and time point, including reserves for re-testing.

Trending and shelf life

Regression analysis and shelf-life estimation consistent with ICH Q1E principles.

Submission-ready reports

Generate stability summary tables and data sets for regulatory submissions and product quality reviews.

Automation

Never miss a pull again

HDLIMS generates the complete pull schedule from the protocol and creates the right samples and tests on the right day, so the lab always knows what is coming.

  • Pull windows configurable per time point
  • Look-ahead workload forecasts for planning
  • Automatic sample and test creation at pull time
  • Protocol amendments handled with full traceability

Insight

See trends while there is still time to act

Results are trended per batch, condition and attribute as soon as they are approved, with projections against specification limits.

  • Per-attribute regression with confidence intervals
  • Batch poolability assessment support
  • Out-of-trend detection for early warning
  • Comparison across batches, sites and packaging configurations

FAQ

Stability Studies: frequently asked questions

Which stability guidelines does HDLIMS support?
Protocol templates follow the structure of ICH Q1A(R2) for storage conditions and testing frequency, and trending tools apply the principles of ICH Q1E for evaluation of stability data. You can define your own templates for other programs, such as in-use or photostability studies.
Can HDLIMS manage stability chambers?
Yes. Chambers are modeled with capacity, conditions and locations. Monitoring data can be integrated, and excursions trigger an impact assessment for affected studies.
Is HDLIMS Stability only for pharmaceuticals?
No. Food, consumer products, chemicals and medical device manufacturers use the same capabilities for shelf-life and packaging studies.
